The MENU is an enticing showcase of recipes reflecting age-old traditions:

  Chef Dilshan Madawala of Dila’s Restaurant, renowned for its unique meld of Asian spices with Mexico’s bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables, will share some of his secrets for preparing the exotic recipes of faraway lands on July 10th, 6 p.m., with the introduction of The Demo Kitchen.

  The Sri Lankan native who received his training Institute Hotelier Cesar Ritz, Switzerland describes Dila’s Demo Kitchen as a culinary tour de force of Sri Lankan, Asian and Indian dishes. In clearly explained steps, demonstrations will highlight the preparation and presentation of appetizers, main courses and a dessert, from the simple to the elaborate, using ingredients characteristic in Asian cookery.

Attention
 Dila’s Restaurant will be closed to the general public July 10th, serving exclusively to tickets-holders.


  Chef Madawala, along with interdisciplinary artist Tim Hazell, will serve a palette of artfully presented portions. Madawala is a native of Sri Lanka, where the 2006 tsunami left tens of thousands of orphans in its wake. A portion of the Demo Kitchen’s proceeds will benefit the children in San Miguel’s orphanages.
